I moved here from Iowa two
years ago and I am retired after being a partner in three businesses
for over 32 years. Since moving to Charlotte, I have become
involved in Habitat for Humanities, Campus Crusade for Christ and I
volunteer at the Billy Graham Library. Before purchasing my home
at Bradfield Farms, I viewed about 40 different homes in various
neighborhoods in the Charlotte area. I was very impressed with
this neighborhood due to the welcoming appearance, the peacefulness,
and the quality of the homes. I felt this would be a solid
investment and I have not been disappointed. I have extra time
on my hands and feel I would like to contribute some of my time to my
neighborhood.
In the past few years I have
served on the Iowa Independent Auto Dealers Association board as
Secretary/ Treasurer and as Vice President for a total of 8 years. I
also worked on various committees with the National Auto Dealers
Association. I was Vice President of Cedar Rapids Women’s
club and
I served on the advisory
committee for 1st Trust and Savings Bank in Cedar Rapids.
In our company, I was the office manager for 27 employees. I
have three grown children and eight grandchildren. I have worked
at many fund raisers for the public and private school systems in
Cedar Rapids. I like to be involved in activities in my area and find
it interesting to work with a verity of people. I do not come to
this board with any personal issue with the neighborhood, I just think
it is important to get involved and serve other people.
