Janet and I have lived in our home in Bradfield
Farms since April of 1997. As a licensed Realtor in Ohio, I was more
than aware of the home and community we desired. In Bradfield Farms,
we found a most attractive community with covenants to protect and
enhance our investment. The amenities were another desirable
attraction. Attractive and well-maintained common areas, two
pools, and a walking trail across the street helped with our decision.
I am now retired after working in multiple
Management Positions with Belk Department Stores. I have served
as a United Way Campaign Coordinator Volunteer and as a fund-raiser
for the Arts and Science Council. I have been active in several
Charlotte East Partnerships and Organizations. Also, I am a Red
Cross Whole Blood and a platelet donor.
When first elected to the Board in 1998, I was
responsible for Grounds, Roads, and Landscaping. I was then
elected Board President and have served multiple terms in this
position. Due to a number of demands, I had to resign from the
board, but was recruited back after my retirement. After
returning to the Board, I was again elected to serve as President, and
I continue my efforts to make Bradfield Farms an outstanding place to
live. Continued recruitment of others to serve as committee
members and potential HOA Board members are a priority, and in
accordance with our HOA Mission Statement, I expect to work with the
Board to “enhance the quality of life and the property values of all
residents”.
