Call the NC One-Call Center at "811" 48 hours before digging in your yard. It is state law that the underground utilities be located before any excavation occurs to prevent damage to buried utilities, personal injuries, and interruption of services. The One-Call Center will contact the utility companies and have a locating company come to your home and mark the location of the buried lines. This is a FREE service, so there is no good reason not to do it. Here are some brochures. |
