The community of Bradfield Farms lies 17 miles east of uptown
Charlotte in an unincorporated part of Mecklenburg County
adjoining Cabarrus County. The main entrance to this
neighborhood of nearly 1000 single family homes is on Reedy
Creek Road where it crosses Harrisburg Road, next to the I-485
interchange there. Houses were built here between 1989 and 1999
- primarily by Centex Homes, but Torrey Homes and Fortis Homes
each built a section as well. New and resale houses are
available in the $110,000 - $230,000 range.
The community has two pools, four tennis courts, two playgrounds, a mile-long walking
trail, and a clubhouse available to residents for meetings and private
parties. The Homeowners Association elects a Board of Directors and
contracts with a property management company to oversee covenant and
financial administration, grounds and facility maintenance, collection
of annual fees ($330), and special activities and events.
Bradfield Farms is an award-winning community,
having won the NC Chapter of the Community Association Institute
award for Association of the Year in 2001 and again in 2005.
